About Orc#

Orc is a novel language for distributed and concurrent programming which provides uniform access to computational services, including distributed communication and data manipulation, through sites. Using four simple concurrency primitives, the programmer orchestrates the invocation of sites to achieve a goal, while managing timeouts, priorities, and failures.

About this Wiki#

This wiki is for members of the extended Orc community -- both developers and users -- to publish Orc-related documents.

About the JSPWiki software#

This Wiki is done using JSP technology, which hopefully makes it very easy to keep up to date and looking better than most of the Wikis based on the original one. A custom bean handles the translation of text into HTML.

Most of the editing markers have been styled according to the Sensei's Library, the best Go sites in the Internet. I find their markup very easy, yet clear.
